The Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) research program at the University of Minnesota has an opening for a full-time research coordinator / psychometrist. The position involves working on two NIH-funded studies of children and adolescents with FASD: a treatment study testing brain stimulation and cognitive training which also utilizes neuroimaging, neuropsychology, genetics, and 3D craniofacial imaging and a second clinical trial testing a novel nutritional supplement in preschool age children. The psychometrist/coordinator will administer neurocognitive tests to children, collect brain MRI data, administer cognitive training and brain stimulation sessions, analyze data, and participate in writing papers for publication. The position will also involve aspects of study coordination including participant recruitment, screening, diagnostic interviewing, scheduling, and data management. Comprehensive training will be provided, but some prior experience in a psychology lab and/or administering cognitive tests to children would be a plus. This position provides an opportunity to work with a small, highly-active research group on a set of exciting multi-disciplinary clinical research projects using cutting-edge methodology.
