The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Student Research Worker to to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator's program of research focusing on preterm birth related projects.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:



  • Perform data cleaning;
  • Apply/develop novel machine learning approach for predictive modeling;
  • Help with manuscript writings;
  • Working closely with sites and study personnel and;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


This is an internally funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.

Minimum Qualifications




  • Requires at least a Bachelor's degree and current enrollment at Columbia University.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Previous research experience is desired.



  • Requires at least two complete years of post-secondary education



  • Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint



  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.



  • Ability to work well in a team and individually.



  • Qualitative data collection and/or analysis is desired.
