The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Operations, the Assistant Director will work with a dynamic team to recruit and enroll successful and diverse applicants.

Responsibilities



  • Evaluate and recommend applicants: Read and evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and serve as a member of the Admissions Committee.
  • Communicate with applicants: Maintain ongoing communication throughout the admissions process regarding missing and/or updates to application materials, and other application-related topics.
  • Promote and market the School's degree and non-degree programs: Coordinate and deliver on- and off-campus presentations, host receptions, and participate in other recruitment activities as determined by supervisor.
  • Refine application communications: Help ensure that applicants have the necessary information to complete their applications and enroll in their programs of choice.
  • Coordinate the internal application process for the doctoral programs and readmissions application process.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships: Work with faculty, administrators, current students, and alumni and solicit their participation in Admissions recruiting-related and yield-related events.
  • Coordinate communication of university departments and requirements with applicants.
  • Host and coordinate Accepted Student Day and Orientation
  • Manage the student ambassador program, connecting prospective applicants with current students at accepted student day, virtual events, and information sessions.
  • Performing other projects, duties and coverage in OSA as needed and assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 4 years of related experience required or equivalent in education, training, and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of, and experience using, technology and tools, including Slate and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
  • Experience in Higher Ed
  • Must have a demonstrated commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Candidate must possess strong skills in communication (verbal and written), diplomacy, tact, and discretion, and outstanding interpersonal/relationship management.
  • Basic data analytics capability.
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) and work evenings and weekends as required.
