Recruitment and Admissions Manager

The Recruitment and Admissions Manager for the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs will be responsible for supporting in-person and virtual recruitment activities, academic programs and admission communications and marketing, financial aid leveraging, and application review. The focus of this role would be leading undergraduate recruitment efforts, but still supporting overall school recruitment and admissions.

Duties include:

  • Implementing recruitment strategies, communications, and programming to enroll new students of the appropriate quantity and quality to fulfill admission goals. Ex. Hosting and attending recruitment events, like recruitment fairs, information sessions, etc.
  • Collecting and analyzing appropriate data related to admissions, recruitment, and attrition, utilizing system solutions and related tools as appropriate (Salesforce, etc.).
  • Representing the school to internal and external constituents, including university and community college officials, administrators, students and their families to recruit prospective students.
  • Facilitating and participating in application and scholarship review and communicating admission decisions.

Interested candidates are asked to submit a cover letter and resume. Ideal candidates have skills including, but not limited to:

  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in academic recruitment and marketing
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience in evaluating students' academic credentials

Position offers hybrid flexibility, meaning most work will be done on campus, with up to two days per week of remote work. Some weekend and evening hours may be required to attend recruitment events.


Job Summary

Assists leadership in the creation and maintenance of the admissions and recruitment strategy. Oversees day-to-day office operations, marketing strategy, and promotional communications. Recruits, evaluates, and participates in the selection of candidates for admission.


Essential Functions

Essential functions include supporting the execution of a recruitment plan forGSPIA's degree programs. Will support the admission/application process, following the policies and procedures that regulate awarding of financial aid and scholarships within the school. Effective and clear communication skills are also essential. Ability to travel locally for recruitment efforts.


Physical Effort

The incumbent may travel on recruitment trips locally and nationally. May be required to travel by foot across campus. May need to lift up to 20 pounds for transporting any materials to and from recruitment events.
