Assistant Professor Lubbock 39352BR Position Description Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. Major/Essential Functions Candidate will serve in a medical education role as a co-clerkship director in surgery clerkship rotation within the SOM at the Covenant Branch campus. This individual will collaborate with our current clerkship director in the surgery clerkship as well as communicating with the other SOM campuses. This individual will work closely with the program manager for Surgery, the Assistant Vice Dean and the Vice Dean of Covenant Campus. This individual must be able to allot 20% of their workflow to ensuring the medical students have adaquate education to further their medical knowledge in the area of general surgery and further their surgerical skills to prepare them for residency. Occasional Duties Required Qualifications Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held.
