Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Incumbent serves as a subject matter expert in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy (HSCTCT) regulatory affairs and quality assurance, providing consultative services for department leaders. Incumbent is responsible for the HSCTCT program's initiatives to improve the quality of patient care, safety, and experience provided to the HSCTCT patients. Uses specialized knowledge, combining quality assurance and clinical expertise, for reports, external inspections, responding to inspection deficiencies and setting policy for quality assurance and compliance activities. This position performs risk analyses, qualifications, validations, audits, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans of the clinical program in accordance with regulatory agency standards. . Readily assists HSCTCT data management team with the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) reporting and auditing. Responsible for development, maintenance and enforcement of the quality plan. Ensures the HSCTCT Program is in compliance with the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) standards.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Familiar with Microsoft Office applications

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Ability to design, administer and critically evaluate policies, procedures and processes against regulatory requirements

Advanced knowledge and experience/expertise in related field

Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing or health related field

Five years of experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplant and cellular therapy and/or hematology oncology, with emphasis on leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma disease processes and treatment

Focused knowledge, skills, experience on hematopoietic stem cell transplant, apheresis, immune effector cell therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN level or higher licensed Registered Nurse with Quality Assurance experience

Training/certification in quality assurance (QA) / quality improvement (QI)

Familiarity of FACT accreditation / certification process

Significant experience with process improvement related to clinical quality and safety
