LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is seeking a dynamic and talented Maintenance Clerk to join our Maintenance Team in Aberdeen, WA.

Shift is Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4:30PM. Starting pay will be $21-$23/hr DOE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily administrative operations of a department including compliance, policies and procedures, expense reports, etc.
  • Conduct self in an appropriate and safe manner, in accordance District / Company Safety policy.
  • Manage accounts payable process for Maintenance Department.
  • Promote Waste Connections standard operating procedures, which assure efficient environmentally correct and safe workplace practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.
  • Maintain shop filing system for a large fleet, maintain hard copy truck /equipment maintenance, mechanic, and compliance files to company standards
  • Administer and maintain parts and supplies inventories utilizing company maintenance tracking software and other various systems.
  • Perform annual and monthly stock inventories as directed utilizing company maintenance software data entry and reconciliation.
  • Purchase and track all maintenance parts, goods and services as directed.
  • Administer and maintain company warranty program and tracking through maintenance tracking software.
  • Stocks shelves, clean and maintain maintenance facility to insure a safe and orderly work area in accordance with all District / Company requirements.
  • Research parts through parts manuals, OEM, and vendor interaction.
  • Loading and unloading of parts and supplies from company, vendor, or delivery vehicles.
  • Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts and supplies as needed.
  • Other clerical duties assigned as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State Driver License- with a clean driving record.
  • 2 or more years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to be certified and operate 5000 LB capacity forklift
  • Experience working with Automotive and/or Heavy truck parts is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory procedures preferred.
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other clerical software programs.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle workload effectively while using good judgment to prioritize workload.
  • Move objects weighing 20-50 pounds distances less than 20 feet.
  • Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time.
  • Ability to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation mainly in an on-the-job training setting.
  • Exceptional organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to learn company-specific programs and policies.
