Job Purpose

This position is responsible to seek warranty reimbursement from the factories, vendors, and AHM internal cost centers and to reflect accurately the warranty transactions on AHM's books.

Job functions include, but are not limited to:

Factory Warranty Reimbursement:

Prepare and complete factory-billing activities in order to recover warranty expense from factories. Activities include creating and sending invoices and supporting documents to factories, entering invoice payment into CICS, and responding to factory questions and concerns.

Supplier Warranty Reimbursement:

Prepare and complete supplier-billing activities in order to recover warranty expense from accessory suppliers. Activities include preparing and sending invoices and supporting documents to suppliers, processing supplier payment in CICS, reviewing partial payments and processing adjustments, responding to supplier questions and concerns, and submitting debit requests of unpaid invoices.

Miscellaneous Billing Reimbursement:

Prepare and issue warranty reimbursement invoices, payment, debits, or credits, which cannot be processed through the normal Warranty / Vendor Billing System.

Vendor Invoices and Check Requests:

Process vendor invoices and follow-up with A/P, create purchase orders, and provide information for department's budgeting purposes.

Set-up a new foreign/affiliate distributor in CICS' Foreign Distributor table and work with AHM Treasury Control and Compliance Dept., Credit and Collections, foreign distributors, and Honda Motor to ensure payment. Assist foreign distributors with warranty claim inquiries and statements.

Foreign Exchange Rate:

Set-up the proper currency rate for each Genpo into Foreign Exchange Table.

Provide support to Warranty Helpline and claims processing activities. Assist U.S. Honda and Acura dealerships, and U.S. territories' distributors with inquiries about warranty claim processing, claim payment and errors, and warranty statements. Provide high level of support with troubleshooting and resolving claims' system issues on a day-to-day basis. Collaborate with iN Support Center, Warranty System, Campaign, and other stakeholders to investigate issues, identify root causes and perform follow-ups until all issues are resolved.

Maintain various user access and DPSM authorization for non-factory claims

Coordinate with Warranty System to maintain or set-up the claims authorization table in CICS, which allows field personnel to authorize warranty claims and goodwill.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting/Information System or related fields preferred (or equivalent work-related experience).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in billing-related responsibilities, data analysis, or related experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details. High level of accuracy and efficiency, strong ability to handle deadlines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills. Flexible and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while delivering quality results.
  • Working knowledge of warranty claim data analysis, review, and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and account/task management skills. Demonstrate ability to work and follow-up with multiple stakeholders, including factories, suppliers, Accounting, Treasury Control and Compliance, Credit and Collections, ISD, dealers, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrate the ability to research, identify root causes of issues and provide recommendations or solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), CICS, SAP, and Mobius.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
