Primary responsibility is to manage sales activities and customer relations of smaller accounts for the Minerals & Nutrients management team and the sales group. The management of these accounts should result in increased purchases of existing or new products thereby elevating the accounts to direct representation. This entry level position is designed to facilitate the transition of smaller accounts from inside sales to outside sales and or marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Maintain and increase the number of accounts with designated criteria
* Communicate product value propositions to key decision makers within these accounts resulting in sales
* Achieve the annual sales budget and growth objectives for the territory
* Recommend, implement, and administer methods and procedures to enhance operations and sales in assigned area
* Respond to prospect and customer inquiries, research and resolve problems related to customer inquiries, and follow-up on sample requests
* Serve as liaison with customers in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational issues
* When needed provide back-up to customer service order entry for Minerals & Nutrients
* Enter and categorize accounts in Salesforce and issue call reports and monthly call reports as directed by Global Sales Manager
* Apply Progression Model process in general at high growth potential accounts
* Support and assist with customer complaints as needed
* Identify high potential, smaller customers for growth as a strategic account/customer
* Work with Account Managers in the designated territories to advance growth of smaller accounts
* On occasion and when approved by Global Sales Manager visit growth accounts with Account Managers
* Some travel <25% REQUIREMENTS:
* Business or Science degree preferred
* Minimum 1-year experience in customer service or sales
* Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
* Must be aggressive with the ability to market and sell.
* Must have a passion for the sales process
* Must have a strong ability to develop customer relationships with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
* Strong computer skills: Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to accuracy and details
