We're hiring a Terminal Process Development Director who is responsible for improvement, standardization, and optimization of processes across terminal facilities. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations at the terminal level while also fostering innovation and process improvements aligned with the company's strategic goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and improving operational processes within terminal facilities, focusing on enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement methodologies and a keen understanding of terminal operations, logistics, or supply chain management.

This position requires travel greater than 50% of the time. The rest of the time is remote.

"Gauges" of Responsibility

  • Evaluate Standard Operating Procedures for terminal operations.
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement and develop strategies for process optimization.
  • Oversee process standardization across all terminal operations to ensure consistency and best practice adoption.
  • Project workflow procedures- evaluating processes/procedure for day-to-day processes and procedures.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the current processes.
  • Work closely with terminal managers and other operational leaders to streamline day-to-day activities, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process changes.
  • Work to ensure that process improvements align with safety regulations and standards.
  • Identify any potential risks associated with proposed changes and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Project permitting processes from development through submission.
  • Management of Change (MOC) process- organizations plan, implement, and monitor changes.
  • Making recommendations to senior leadership on findings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 15 years' of experience in terminal operations, logistics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess problems, identify solutions, and implement changes.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and performance goals are met.
  • Expertise in process analysis, optimization, and root cause analysis
  • Travel required greater than 50% of the time.

Education Requirement

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
