Pay Class: Full Time

Pay: $60,845.70- $81,127.61 per hour

Compensation range for the roles is listed above. Applicable salary rangers may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions.

The Role:

The Continuous Improvement Engineer business process improvement initiatives which ensure the organization meets its customer satisfaction and cost reduction goals. They will also be responsible for teaching a wide range of core Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools in both formal and informal settings. This will include hands-on training of management and front-line employees in methods for reducing variation and measurement error. The CI Engineer will also be part of a team that conducts lean events for large-scale manufacturing improvement projects in addition to driving enterprise initiatives as needed.

Job Specifications:



  • Promotes and assists in the development of the continuous improvement culture within the laboratory network operation
  • Ensures the product and process improvement aligns with internal requirements, customer expectations, and ensures alignment with industry standards
  • Develops processes and procedures and simplifies complex processes to assist the organization in achieving corporate goals
  • Proactively identifies areas to enable the organization's shift toward process intervention
  • Oversees the implementation and effective deployment of continuous improvement process and procedure changes
  • Establish measurable metrics to integrate Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma methodologies with business drivers
  • Promotes standardization of operational excellence within the business units
  • Prepares and controls Continuous Improvement related budgets and expenses


Qualifications:




  • 4+ years' experience in training on a wide range of core Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and SPC tools in both formal and informal settings for all levels of employees
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principle and tools with the ability to implement these tools
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt certified and a practitioner preferred
  • Superior knowledge of operations processes, mechanical engineering, data analysis, interpretation, and CI principles
  • Demonstrated experience in training on a wide range of core Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and SPC tools in both formal and informal settings for all levels of employees
  • Working knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving techniques
  • Exceptional customer and industry interface skills
  • Ability to gather and understand resource information from a variety of sources, including interviews, research, and reports Experience using Manufacturing modeling and simulation software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7 and later, Office 365, and Minitab applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster cooperation amongst business partners and coordinate internal as well as external resource/workload
