The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

This position will support the department by providing administrative support to our Electrophysiology team within the division of cardiology. The primary role of the Administrative Assistant is to work with our Electrophysiology team by providing administrative support; including making appointments for new /follow-up patients and ablation procedures. The ideal candidate will bring a positive and caring attitude, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and previous experience in a fast-paced practice or hospital setting.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as administrative support for the Electrophysiology program within Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Monitor the physician's daily patient schedules, serve as the contact for scheduling follow-up appointments for office visits and procedures; and obtaining referrals and verification coverage if needed.
  • Review insurance information, obtain all necessary pre-certifications for procedures and other services, and obtain records and referrals information for patient appointments.
  • Verify patient information in Epic. Determine and collect insurance payments and co-payments.
  • Coordinate required patient documents to be scanned for Epic filing and designate to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist Physicians and nurse as needed.
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and experience required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Two years of related experience.
  • EPIC Experience.
  • Bilingual Preferred.


Other Requirements



  • Conform to all applicable HIPAA, billing compliance and safety guidelines.
