The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) at the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab in the Department of Psychology, the Research Staff Assistant will provide support for all the Lab's research activities aiming to understand the brain mechanisms supporting social cognition.

The Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab examines the development of attention, memory, and cognitive control. The research conducted in our lab can be grouped into 3 main topics: social functions of the resting brain, social isolation and loneliness, and identity & self-representation.

This is a 1-year, full-time grant-funded position with the possibility of renewal contingent funding approval.

Responsibilities



  • Coordinate logistics for subjects' testing. Make sure personnel and equipment are available and schedule appointments.
  • Assist with collecting and maintaining research data including behavioral and fMRI data collection and analysis using basic statistical software.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and proposals, correspondence, data entry, and library research.
  • Perform administrative duties related to research (e.g., Grant preparation, ordering supplies, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 months of experience in a research environment.
