Salary range:
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $118,000- $309,800. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu/) and the Division of Infectious Diseases is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is actively recruiting physicians for the Owen Clinic.

The Owen Clinic is internationally recognized as a center for HIV clinical care and prevention. The Owen Clinic is the largest and most comprehensive HIV primary care clinic in San Diego serving over 3,300 patients with HIV every year. The Owen Clinic has several integrated specialty clinics including HIV PrEP, gender health, substance use, viral hepatitis, anal dysplasia, weight management, and HIV and aging. The program includes strong outpatient and inpatient HIV medicine, leading-edge HIV clinical and outcomes research, and robust medical student, resident, and fellow teaching.

The successful candidates will join a group of 35 clinical faculty members and physician-scientists and will work in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The successful candidates will be responsible for the teaching of trainees and students. There are opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical/translational research.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, or an MD/PhD in the area of Infectious Diseases or a related field.

Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease.
