Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Harassment & Discrimination Assistance and Prevention Program (HDAPP) Director, the Ethics and Compliance Coordinator supports the daily functioning of the HDAPP office in a highly confidential and dynamic environment.
Provides a full range of programmatic and administrative support, including conducting and documenting moderately complex tasks requiring data and policy review and moderate analysis, answering HDAPP's call lines, and monitoring the online reporting systems and HDAPP's email.
This position evaluates fact patterns (Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment and Discrimination concerns) for case triage, scheduling intakes, and supporting the intake process. This position also supports complainant outreach, case management, preparing and assisting in the creation of training and outreach materials, managing and updating HDAPP's Case Management Database and Website, and general office management. Works with members of the UCD/UCDH community to promote the goals of HDAPP.
The Ethics and Compliance Coordinator also provides administrative support to the HDAPP office and staff. Responsible for ordering office supplies and other programmatic materials. Updates and supports the development of internal forms and materials. Assists with scheduling meetings and coordinates meeting logistics, including reserving campus space as needed. - 2 years' experience providing administrative support in a dynamic, fast paced, high profile office.
- Experience working with complex policies to help triage new cases and route them to the appropriate process.
- Experience interacting and communicating (in person, over the phone, and in writing) with distressed and aggrieved persons, providing them support, and connecting them to resources.
- Experience identifying, handling, and protecting highly confidential, personal, and sensitive information and maintaining this information in an electronic case management system, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Experience updating and maintaining websites via a content management system.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze data, anticipate and identify problems, streamline and standardize processes, develop creative solutions for resolution, and report out on such matters.
- Skills to cultivate positive working relationships with appropriate campus units and resources and represent HDAPP with diplomacy and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with campus offices and resources related to HDAPP services.
- Familiarity with campus systems (i.e. Aggie Travel, Aggie Buy, Site Farm etc.)

Department Overview The Harassment & Discrimination Assistance and Prevention Program (HDAPP) serves the entire UCD/UCDH community of staff, academics, students, patients, visitors, and volunteers. HDAPP advises individuals and management on the successful resolution of complaints of all forms of discrimination (including hate/bias incidents), harassment (including sexual harassment), sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. With a strong emphasis on prevention and risk-reduction, HDAPP develops targeted educational and outreach programming to address the needs of each constituent group. HDAPP is the office of record regarding all reports of the issues named above. HDAPP coordinates three multidisciplinary case management teams; and works closely with other campus and UCDH units on conflict resolution strategies, training and policy compliance.
Administratively, HDAPP is part of the Compliance and Policy Unit in the Office of the Chancellor. POSITION INFORMATION
