Job Summary
Job Summary Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Outreach and Engagement, provides analytical and administrative program support to further engage donors with UC Davis and the specific academic area(s) they support. Coordinates university-wide programs, events and initiatives that enhance and strengthen UC Davis' relationship with its supporters, and compliment donor relations efforts implemented within the colleges, schools and units. Coordinates ongoing activities and communications within donor relations including local and regional event support as well as departmental calendar management. Tracks selected mailings to key donor audiences and processes data. Uses database to gather relevant details to personalize donor communications and event details. Assists with complex data functions, including generating queries; extracting, manipulating, filtering and merging data; and transitioning data between multiple software programs. Evaluates and interprets analytical, statistical and financial data. In collaboration with Advancement Services, helps design customized reports to track donor activity and donor relations initiatives. Helps design, implement and enhance infrastructure to increase overall donor relations program effectiveness and efficiency. Updates donor records with actions, activities, contact reports and other information as appropriate. Responds to donor inquiries and requests in timely manner. - Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience creating, managing, and tracking/monitoring budgets. Experience generating reports that inform future business decisions.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) to produce complex spreadsheets and reports. Extract, manipulate, lter and merge data, database management, create presentations, project calendars, correspondence and detailed brieng materials.
- Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills to draft, review and edit sensitive correspondence, briengs, reports, and other written materials that reect the high standards and professionalism of an executive oce; experience editing copy for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Written, oral & interpersonal communication skills and political acumen to handle sensitive or dicult situations diplomatically. Skills to communicate directly with donors and to interact with stakeholders with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience participating in major fundraising efforts, ideally a major comprehensive campaign, in a college, university, non-prot organization, or other large complex institution; or knowledge of development with event stewardship focused responsibilities.
- Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment with competing demands, including skills to strategically implement successful event plans, collaborate and follow-up with others to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Experience using Advance/AIS, the campus donor and prospect-tracking database and other development tools such as Reeher, Michelangelo, MyTravel, DaFis.
- Awareness, knowledge, and skill in applying diversity, equity and inclusion to one's work. A profound belief in the value of a diverse and safe workforce and a commitment to achieve this goal through collaboration and team building, working cooperatively with a diverse group of department and campus constituencies.

Work Environment Initially, the position will be in-office for the first 90-days, followed by a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote, except on event or travel days. Work occasional weekend and evening engagements as well as regional travel. Overtime may be required during peak periods.
