These activities are conducted within the jurisdiction of the Southwest Regional Office, encompassing the counties of Allegheny, Beaver, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland. Key responsibilities associated with this role involve delivering technical guidance and support on intricate hydrogeological issues, evaluating groundwater monitoring strategies, analyzing environmental and remediation initiatives, executing groundwater assessments, addressing complaints, and actively participating in compliance enforcement actions. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Travel required for site visits. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67,678 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements: This position requires possession of an active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
