Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities Exercises critical thinking skills in all aspects of the FA role. Establishes and maintains a safe operative environment. Provides technical first assistance to the primary surgeon in the operating room. Partners with the physician to enhance the effectiveness of patient care. Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff ensuring UT Health and departmental objectives are maintained Other duties as assigned Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Successful completion of an approved FA course Proficient in scrubbing all specialties with a minimum of 3 years of experience Current Certification in Surgical Technology Current Certification as a First Assistant Current BLS
