A day in the life of a mechanic:
- Has excellent punctuality/attendance record
- Maintains a positive attitude with team members and throughout the shift
- Communicates with team members effectively
- Follows all safety, quality and procedural standards
- Uses computer/computer systems/email as needed
- Documents information in a timely and accurate manner
- Able to work in 24/7 manufacturing environment, including nights, weekends and possibly some holidays
- Able to work overtime for vacation coverage and training purposes
- Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives
- Able to troubleshoot complex equipment, reading and interpreting manuals and work orders, maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensure optimal performance; responds to equipment process concerns; prioritizes work orders, PM/CM as needed
- Participates in preparatory meetings for maintenance day overhauls
- Report on equipment safety and operational hazardous findings to leadership as appropriate
- Generate follow-up work orders with the appropriate department for resolution.
- Supports the development of Maintenance SOP's
- Works as a team to support short- and long-term department and facility goals
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Must have at least 3 years' manufacturing experience and/or experience with preventative/corrective equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting
- You must be at least 18 years old
- Able to demonstrate acceptable levels of basic grammar, mathematical aptitude, and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes, but not limited to; lifting, bending, climbing, standing, crouching, kneeling, walking, talking, hearing, etc.
- Ability to routinely lift/move up to 50lbs and regularly required to taste or smell product
