Job Summary |
The Scholarship and Grant Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all scholarship and grant processes for the Office of Student Financial Services. The position will oversee the administration of federal grants, state grants and scholarships, institutional and endowed scholarships, and all external scholarships. FSEOG. |

Essential Functions |
- Oversees all State of Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) processes including adjustments, notifications, payment requests, and reconciliation.
- Reviews and processes all State of Illinois Alternative Applications for MAP Grants
- Manages all State of Illinois scholarship programs including Minority Teachers of Illinois (MTI) Scholarship Program, Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois, Nursing Education Scholarships and Illinois Graduate and Retain our Workforce (iGROW) Tech Scholarship Program
- Manages the administration of all campus-based aid processes including Federal Work Study and FSEOG
- Reviews and processes work authorizations for campus employment
- Works with Human Resources and Payroll on monitoring and reconciling student payroll
- Oversees and maintains endowed and restricted scholarship awarding each fiscal year and provide essential reporting related to these processes
- Responsible for scholarship awarding as requested by the Office of Admission
- Assists with processes for community-based organizations as well as administering their respective scholarships at Elmhurst
- Processes external scholarships and coordinates with the Cashiering Services Coordinator on payment processing
- Counsels and communicates with students as needed as it relates to their awards
- Assists with the annual FISAP reporting on campus-based aid
- Assists in coordinating audits, compliance reviews, and survey data collection
- Attends trainings and conferences in key areas and maintains an understanding of trends

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial aid administration
- Very strong communication and technical skills
|
Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's Degree
- Federal Work Study or campus employment experience
- Ellucian Colleague experience
|
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements |
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. |
