A postdoctoral position is available for a highly qualified and motivated candidate in the laboratory of Dr. Benjamin Nacev at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.

The scientific goal of the Nacev Lab is to understand how cancer-associated genetic alterations in chromatin regulators promote cancer and to leverage this understanding to advance new therapeutic approaches.

Job requirements and specifics: We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated researcher with a strong background in sarcoma research and/or mesenchymal biology. The candidate should will bring expertise in differentiation/developmental models, CRISPR screens, Genetically Engineered Mouse Models (GEMMs), and/or single-cell RNA sequencing (sc-RNA-seq). This role is designed for someone who is no more than three years from the awarding of their doctoral degree and who demonstrates a profound thirst for scientific knowledge and discovery. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of taking initiative in pursuing new and independent ideas, adopting and optimizing emerging techniques, and thriving in a collaborative team environment. This track record should be supported by a strong publication history. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and make significant advancements in the field. Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, etc) in a biomedical research field.
