Waste Masters Solutionsis looking for asafety conscious Container Repair Techto join the team inNew Castle, Delaware. The typical work week is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays. JOB TITLE: Container Repair Tech PURPOSE: This position is responsible for a variety of repairs on garbage containers of all types, including walking floor trailers. This position is crucial to maintaining structurally sound containers. JOB DUTY: Performs Repairs On Steel And Aluminum Containers Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, roof, side and end walls, doors, decking and bottom rails Methods, Procedures, Equipment, Materials Uses stick and wire feed welders as well as both torch, air, and electrical tools to either cut out, grind, buff and/or replace damaged areas, replace defective bolts, replace rusted corner posts and other repairs to the container. Occasional use of chemical solvents and paints depending on the type of repair. Skills, Abilities, Knowledge Must be knowledgeable of and capable of performing container repairs in an efficient, effective and timely manner. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, read, estimate, calculate, interpret, measure and document in writing. Must be able to sustain a steady work pace over an entire workday Physical Requirements Must have adequate vision and hearing. Dexterity for handling parts and tools in tight spaces. Sufficient strength for handling larger parts and tools. Pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulder level. Standing, stooping, crouching, bending, walking, crawling, kneeling, carrying and lifting 10 - 100 lbs. Able to work utilizing safety glasses, welding hood, boots, cover-alls and hearing protection. Output, Productivity Performs this duty daily, up to 100% of 8-hour shift. Regular overtime Working Conditions Work under canopy and outdoors in all weather conditions. May be on a day, evening, or night shift. Subjected to loud noises, vibrations, hardworking surfaces, lubricants and chemicals, fumes, dirt, and inherent hazards of mechanical work. JOB DUTY: Forklift Operation Methods, Procedures, Equipment, Materials Drives a forklift as needed. Frequent stops. Climbs in and out of the forklift as needed Skills, Abilities, Knowledge Must meet the following requirements: 1) Trained in safe operation of the forklift 2) Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the forklift and operate the bailer equipment Physical Requirements Sufficient stamina for driving a forklift, climbing in and out of the forklift. Grasping, gripping controls. Able to work utilizing safety equipment including hearing protection, steel toed work boots, utility gloves, reflective vest, and safety glasses. Output, Productivity Performs this duty daily, up to 10% of 8-hour shift. Regular overtime. Working Conditions Work under canopy and outdoors in all weather conditions. May be on a day, evening, or night shift. Subjected to loud noises, vibrations, hardworking surfaces, lubricants and chemicals, fumes, dirt, and inherent hazards of mechanical work.
