This position is responsible for overseeing recruitment, benefits, and analytics. The Director, Human Resources will oversee daily operations of the recruitment, retention and benefits functions to ensure efficient and accurate workflow, including supervision of staff. This position will manage HR functions focused on hiring staff aligned with the strategic priorities and guiding principles. The position will set the baseline for measurement of success in all areas of human resources with defined analytics in partnership with the Chief Human Resources Officer and Director of Learning and Development. This position will oversee the management of the total rewards of the organization including but not limited to benefits and retirement oversight. This position will support the Chief Human Resources Officer, aiding in managing the day-to-day operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Models and promotes both internally and externally the mission, philosophy, and guiding principles of InVision Human Services.
- Contributes to the development, design and/or implementation of the strategic plan as assigned.
- Acquires, maintains, and demonstrates current knowledge and competency with federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Functions as a member of the management team of InVision Human Services; including but not limited to attending monthly management meetings and company annual meetings.
- Maintains strict standards of confidentiality regarding agency staff and clients.
- Willingly contributes to or leads special projects as required.
- Consults with managers and supervisors on recruitment strategies
- Actively seeks out ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of services provided.
- Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data making recommendations to the management team for improvements from a retention standpoint.
- Recommends new policies or revisions to existing policies.
- Provides human resources support, advice, and consultation to employees. Resolving employee inquiries as needed.
- Objectively coach employees through complex and difficult issues, with a philosophy of creating a high-trust culture; focusing on building a strong team environment and the maintenance of a positive, productive workplace.
- Provides data for board reports and efficiency of human resources programs
- Continually monitors metrics and applies knowledge obtained to ensure cost-effective advertising and staffing decisions.
- Provide counsel and assistance to management in understanding and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Recommend new policies or revisions to existing policies.
- Maintain strict standards of confidentiality regarding agency staff and clients
- Additionally, provides support to the CHRO with other areas of human resources on an as needed basis.
- Oversight of recruitment budget to align with overarching human resources budget
Recruitment and Retention:
- Set and implement recruitment strategy for frontline and administrative roles
- Conduct in-house training and development Human Resource programs for staff, supervisors, and directors in relation to recruitment practices
- Serves as HR subject matter expert for recruitment and retention strategies
Talent Development:
- Develop and assess onboarding program in partnership with Director of Learning and Development and recommend changes, as necessary
- Implement mechanism to engage in talent development discussions with staff and utilize
- Maintain positive staff relations by assisting with resolution of complaints/disputes, providing assistance to staff with questions/concerns, and ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all staff.
- Oversight of helping to develop and maintain of retention strategies.
Analytics:
- Oversight of pay ranges to keep current with market data and competitive with our peer group and industry standards
- Develop analytics dashboard through our Power BI application in partnership with Information Technology
- Develop in partnership with the chief human resources officer, metrics to evaluate efficiency, effectiveness of all human resources programs
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises all staff in the recruiting and benefits function. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required in Human Resource Management or appropriate related field. Minimum of 10 years management experience gained through increasingly responsible positions in Human Resources. Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment and recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, organizational planning, employee relations and training and development. Preferred requirements are strong recruitment and retention background, data-driven mindset Ability to comprehend, access and utilize electronic medium and various computer programs.
