Job Objective:
Regulatory Analyst has a strong understanding of upstream regulatory issues and how they relate to the allocation and volumetric reporting of production to governing bodies. This role maintains master data, implements logic needed for report data capture, and reports the production of oil, gas, and water within company's operated fields to the appropriate Federal and State agencies. Works closely with asset teams, field personnel, and revenue departments to ensure compliance needs. May assist in communicating with various stakeholders to determine issues and potential outcomes.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares State and Federal production reports for New Mexico and/or Texas.
- Prepares and monitors all regulatory and production audit compliance issues to ensure prompt compliance and resolution of problems.
- Files all appropriate state well tests and limited regulatory paperwork (non-drilling and completion).
- Monitors and resolves compliance issues associated with production audits and third party audits, including monthly verification reports.
- Becomes proficient in and understands field flows as related to statewide compliance.
- Becomes proficient in and understands emissions as related to statewide compliance.
- Becomes proficient with the ERP software and is able to identify entity setups for the regulatory reporting process.
- Consults with Managers to resolve issues and attribute setups for newly acquired systems in the production accounting system.
- Prepares and monitors all third party oil and gas statements on operated properties for the filing of OGOR or other reporting as needed by agency.

Qualifications:
- Three (3) years minimum production, regulatory or related experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to accurately solve problems and proficiency in data management. Likes working with numbers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Critical-thinking skills.Must be able to examine and process available information and draw logical conclusions from their findings.
- Communication skills. Must be able to clearly explain policies, impacts, and recommendations in both spoken and written formats to many different audiences, including internal and external customers.
- Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Preferred: SAP software.
Preferred: OGOR federal production report filing experience. Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college or related experience
