ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Cross functional role working with material planning, shipping/receiving, and inventory departments to ensure accurate inventories and timely movements throughout the network
  • Oversee cycle counting of materials within the Southside Soapbox (SSSB) and work with vendors and storage locations to acquire inventory counts, acting as a point person for investigations and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with material planners to create shipments for incoming raw and packaging material and follow up on deliveries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up transportation and movements in the ERP system for material transfers between storage locations and manufacturing sites, both at the Soapbox and third-party manufacturers
  • Organize and assist with cycle counting within the Soapbox, utilizing schedule created by finance dept, ensure the counts are completed on time and turned into the finance team and assist in the investigations of discrepancies
  • Set dock appointment schedule, take delivery and pick up requests, and record adherence
  • Make necessary inventory moves and adjustments to keep an accurate inventory within SAP, including cycle counts and bin transfers

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in logistics, planning or manufacturing; logistics and/or inventory analysis experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of material management systems such as SAP, TMS + WMS
  • Solid understanding of internal/external supply chain principles, processes and systems, including order management, transportation and warehousing

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration + customer service skills
  • Ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into recommendations + decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal + written
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, well organized and timely on provided tasks
  • Creative problem-solver, able to identify "out-of-the-box" solutions
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time
  • Working hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (other working hours available)
  • Manufacturing office work environment
