About This Role

This is a 2-year position with theGRIP(Game-changing Research Initiative Program, at KSU.This position will serve as theProgram/Project Consultant for the research project assisting in the areas of Economic Development Planning, Data and Investment Analysis, as well as tracking the Budgeting and Accounting of the project.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master degree in Economics
  • Financial Management and Accounting knowledge
  • Strong skills and proficiency in statistical packages (STATA, R, SAS, SPSS, and Time Series package)
  • Data Visualization skill with SQL, TABLIE, Python, etc. for big data (government and open public databases, including Word Bank data)
  • Ability to develop statistical and mathematical modeling, with respect to economic development aspects
  • Project experiences in forecasting (economic growth, new product adoption, sales forecasting, etc.)
  • Experiences working with faculty projects
  • Understanding of international trends and growth models for business development
  • Commitment to understanding one's own experience and perspectives as well as the experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and effective collaboration
