Description This is a bargaining unit position Job Posting Date: 10/14/2024 For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to$10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligibleRegistered Nurses with1-2years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of experience!
36 hours Days3(12) hour shifts, every other weekend. Summary: Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education per year. 2. License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine. Certification in relevant specialty preferred. 3. Experience:At least 1 year prior RN work experience.Meets all requirements of Clinical Nurse I. Completion of Level I usually achieved by 12 months of employment. Critical care, pediatrics, or behavioral health experience preferred. ED experience strongly preferred. 4. Basic knowledge of the research base, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing. 5. Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. 6. Analytical ability sufficient to identify changes in patients' conditions and to initiate appropriate action. 7. Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families and to initiate appropriate action. 8. Demonstrates a caring nursing practice and promotes a healing environment for patients and families. 9. Demonstrates the required knowledge and technical skills to care for most patient populations on the unit.
