Description For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Nurse Managers of $10,000.00 Eligible candidates are hired into a Full position. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Behavioral Health Unit The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit in Sanford is a 40 bed, locked unit that provides a 24 hour treatment program designed to provide care for adults ages 18-95 in acute psychiatric crisis. The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care. Our team of mental health professionals plan and work together with the patient to provide psychiatric care, medical treatment, support, referral for follow-up care, and opportunities for learning and emotional growth. Experience in Behavioral Health, specifically, is strongly preferred Please Note: If you are currently licensed in New Hampshire, you do not need to change licensure! NH applicants are welcome to apply and work using their current license. Summary: The Nurse Manager has 24-hour accountability for the provision of nursing services on their unit. S/he is responsible for maintaining systems and procedures that will ensure quality patient care, promote cost effectiveness, educate and support competent nursing practice. The Nurse Manager skills entail coaching, motivating and leading a professional team to provide safe and effective care.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
