Job Summary:

This two-year Academic Fellowship is designed to prepare PharmD graduates for careers in academic pharmacy. The program offers personalized training and mentorship to help the Fellow build expertise in teaching, research, and clinical practice. The Fellow will participate in scholarly activities, including the design and execution of one or more teaching and learning research projects. Under the guidance of experienced, nationally recognized faculty, the Fellow will develop pedagogical skills, refine teaching methods, and gain valuable insights into curriculum development and academic leadership. Additionally, the Fellow will provide clinical services within the UCHealth system, based on their area of interest. The fellowship will be customized to align with the Fellow's specific needs, providing personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals. Throughout the fellowship, the Fellow will engage in a dynamic, collaborative academic setting, benefiting from diverse interdisciplinary interactions and extensive networking opportunities within a large academic medical campus. By the end of the fellowship, the Fellow will be well-prepared for a career in academia. Program duration is approximately 24 months. Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching (25%): development and delivery of classroom learning sessions and facilitation of skill-based activity sessions and case discussions in a hybrid learning environment in the PharmD program.
- Scholarship (30%): completion of one or more teaching and learning scholarship projects, culminating in a poster and/or podium presentation at a national and/or local meeting, and manuscript submission for publication.
- Clinical Practice (25%): primary or specialty care at an outpatient practice within the UCHealth System or internal medicine inpatient practice at the University of Colorado Hospital, dependent on experience and interests.
- Service (10%): participation in Curriculum Committee and/or Assessment Committee and targeted education-related service activities for the School.
- Professional Development (10%): completion of certificate programs related to teaching and learning and scholarship of teaching and learning

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite at the Anschutz Medical Campus or the assigned clinical practice site.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (ACPE-accredited program)
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Colorado
Preferred Qualifications:
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (ASHP-accredited program)

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $72,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
