Position Purpose:

Responsible for the overall management, direction and execution of Shred plant operations. Responsible for ensuring concrete plans exist to deliver financial commitments and foster a culture of operating discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Job Activities:

Plans and schedules production requirements (people & equipment) to support daily, weekly and monthly sales forecast to meet customeras needs.
Oversees and trains an effective and efficient staff:
Makes recommendations for merit increases and performance appraisals.
Monitors operations and staff and recommends, when necessary, changes inmethods, procedures and structure, to secure optimum utilization of resources.
Administers all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance.
Monitors and ensures that employees are performing their functions safely andproductively. Makes recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries.
Ensuring the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner.

Assists in maintaining overall cost control of the plant. Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation.
Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally.
Initiate actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices.
Perform periodic facility audits, review of all applicable regulatory paperwork, e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc.).
Participates in Operationas short and long range business planning.
Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 5S, setup reduction, and process improvements
Other duties as assigned

Experience:

Bachelor Degree in business or operations management preferred or Seven years or more years related experience or training in a plant or manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact. Five or more years of experience managing others.
Demonstrates knowledge of barcode scanning and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
Demonstrates the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift.

Education:
Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent

Drivers License
