The Administration Division in the Department of Building and Development seeks candidates to oversee the department's financial and budgetary operations as the Financial Services Team Lead. This role involves ensuring compliance and efficiency and serving as the subject matter expert on the financial aspects of the County's land management system, LandMARC.
Key responsibilities of this position include managing financial processes within LandMARC, providing budget oversight and support, supervising a small team, managing special projects, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners. The Financial Services Team Lead will collaborate with multiple county departments and act as a liaison to ensure adherence to financial protocols and operational excellence. We seek a candidate who excels in customer service, has strong communication skills, and demonstrates an interest or skill in supervising others. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. In this role, you will: * Prepare, track, and oversee transactions through LandMARC financial systems. * Provide necessary training to internal users of the system on financial aspects. * Assist in reviewing and developing department SOP's and department policies and procedures. * Monitor and maintain all internal controls within LandMARC's financial areas. * Ensure refunds are processed accurately and promptly. * Serve as a backup in the absence of subordinate employees. * Act as the Department's liaison to the Department of Finance and Procurement, the Commissioner of Revenue, the Treasurer's Office, and other county departments reliant on LandMARC. * Participate in strategic planning activities, including developing objectives and measures of success. * Generate reporting revenues and statistical reports for senior management's review. * Assist in evaluating and overseeing the departmental fee revenue in coordination with the Office of Management and Budget. Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; four (4) years of related work experience in areas such as government, financial services, budget management, policy analysis, project management, or program evaluation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
