Seasonal (Seasonal) JOB TITLE: Nordic Center Lead DIVISION: Nordic Center REPORTS TO: Nordic Center Manager LOCATION: Nordic Center CLASSIFICATION: Full Time/Seasonal/Hourly POSITION: The Nordic Center Lead will assist Nordic Center Manager with staff scheduling, staff and guest issues; help with staff training; Nordic Center Lead is responsible for instructing group and private lessons for various age and ability levels, guiding snowshoe tours, providing information to guests as well as assisting guests with rental equipment. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to handle cash and maintain accurate transactions Ski pass and retail sales transactions Ski instructor and snowshoe guide Wax and ski technician Ski and snowshoe rental technician Ability to work outside in all winter conditions Has experience of/or ability to learn to sell products in Nordic Retail Shop Has experience of/or ability to learn to distribute Nordic ski and snowshoe rental equipment Excellent customer service skills Basic math skills Willing to work weekends and holidays and some evenings during the ski season. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer questions about the resort, terrain, snow, and grooming conditions Answer incoming phone calls Shoveling and snow removal Maintain a clean and organized work environment (vacuum, shovel, toilet, etc.) Provide a friendly professional demeanor, acknowledge guests with a smile Conduct group and private cross-country ski lessons that help guests of all ages and ability levels Host guided and informative snowshoe tours Correctly handle cash and follow all opening and closing procedures Quickly notify manager of any shortage in retail/rental merchandise, register funds or unsafe situations Sell tickets at correct rate in a courteous and friendly manner Be conscious of safety at all times while completing job duties and responsibilities Direct guests to appropriate base areas Perks of Working Here: Work & Play in the Mountains: Embrace the stunning Wasatch Mountains.
