Description

Federal Contract Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident

JOB PURPOSE: The Lead Security Monitor at the Eagle Lake Children's Center will lead the team responsible for controlling facility access, guarding the property (via monitoring through surveillance cameras) while also observing the children in care, staff, and parking lot. Provides video support during an investigation.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSBILITIES:



  • Ensure security monitors keep records of children entry/and exit of the premises by recording the date, time, and destination.
  • Keep records of all vendors, service providers, attorneys, MVM, ICE and Border Patrol entry/and exit of the shelter.
  • Ensure monthly/quarterly radio check logs of two-way radios are completed
  • Keep control of the main gate access by providing remote surveillance and automated access control.
  • Ensure security monitors maintain record of all safety equipment including fire extinguishers, fire exits alarms, smoke detectors, first aid kits, evacuation routes and assists with monthly fire drills.
  • Training security monitors how to provide constant monitoring of the surveillance system and ensuring line of sight; provides support by informing department leads of any areas where additional staff may be required.
  • Ensure security monitors assist Youth Care Workers, Medical, Case Managers and Clinicians departments with headcounts by providing support where needed.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and approves or denies personal time off requests and/or holiday leave requests.
  • Responsible for addressing employee performance issues in a timely manner and maintaining documentation of conversations.
  • Must be computer literate and possess basic computer skills, such as data entry and usage of Microsoft Office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be at least 21 years old.


  • Proficiency in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills), highly preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools.
  • Successfully pass a TB test annually.
  • Successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned task.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state, federal, and local child protection agency registries.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Affidavit for Applicants for Employment with a Licensed Operation or Registered Children's Home.
  • At least one year experience in security and surveillance.


EDUCATION:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year experience working with children through paid or unpaid positions preferred.

WORK LOCATION:



  • Eagle Lake Children's Center in-person.



OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel in case of an emergency evacuation and as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Willingness to work other duties as required.
