The Department of Cell Biology is currently accepting applications for a full-time doctoral-level faculty researcher. A Ph.D., or MD, in science or medicine is required. This research faculty position will be in support of ongoing and research projects in the laboratory of Jay Tan, PhD, at the Aging Institute, University of Pittsburgh/UPMC. The Tan lab studies core principles of cell biology in aging. Current research topics include lysosomal quality control in aging and neurodegeneration, inter-organelle communications in cell homeostasis, and lysosomal stress in age-related inflammation. This non-tenure stream position will be at the research assistant professor level, depending on qualifications. Candidate must have academic credentials appropriate for a faculty appointment at the University of Pittsburgh. The candidate must be able to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
