Med-Dermatology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - ( 24008497 )

An NIH-funded research laboratory (PI: Yuri Bunimovich, MD, Ph.D.) in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, research-oriented individual at the postdoctoral associate level. The interest of the lab is to investigate the mechanism of neuroimmune regulation of melanoma progression and the role of ferroptosis in the disease. The candidate will be responsible for conducting and publishing cutting-edge research, learning and mastering new experimental techniques, and collaborating with other research laboratories. Candidates will be expected to stay up to date in the field, critically assess their results, modify/develop research plans accordingly and present their work at research conferences.

A Ph.D. in Cell or Molecular Biology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Cancer Biology, or a related field is required. Experience with mouse models, cell culture, flow cytometry, and standard molecular biology techniques is preferred but not required. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
