The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Administrative Coordinator for Education will provide administrative support to education programs in the Department of Neurology including medical student clinical programs, residency programs and fellowship programs. The incumbent will report to the Manager of Education Administration.

Responsibilities



  • Assist with day-to-day operations of education programs including scheduling of daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and conferences
  • Assist with food and supply ordering for education programs, including tracking and reconciling of p card expenses
  • Support tracking of attendance at conferences and meetings
  • Assist with compiling information for applications for accreditation of residency and fellowship programs
  • Assist with compiling data for reporting to ACGME, NYP GME, FREIDA, ABPN, medical licensing boards, hospital human resources and other relevant bodies
  • Assist with record keeping and drafting of documents such as verification of former house officers
  • Support resident and fellow recruitment process including tracking of applications and interview offers through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and Thalamus
  • Help organize events such as new house staff departmental orientation and residency graduation
  • Assist with reimbursement of resident/fellow spending from their education funds
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus one year of related experience


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience in academic medical center setting


Other Requirements



  • Experience working in an academic setting required. Excellent interpersonal, administrative, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with all levels of staff. This position requires constant interaction with students, trainees, staff, faculty and administration; the candidate must have superior interpersonal skills and be able to work on many different assignments and follow through with little supervision
