About the Role

Join our team as a Spiritual Counselor where you'll provide Christ-centered spiritual counseling to individuals dealing with various disaffiliations including addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling), chronic homelessness, and related challenges. All counseling sessions in our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) Programs are classified as spiritual counseling, emphasizing our faith-based approach to recovery and transformation.


Schedule

  • First shift position (including evening hours)
  • Some weekends and holidays required
  • Full-time position


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth spiritual interviews and assessments with newly admitted beneficiaries, including counseling assessments, self-sufficiency matrix, and full intakes
  • Provide spiritual counseling to individuals struggling with addictions and homelessness
  • Design and manage individual rehabilitation plans, utilizing ARC programs and community agency services
  • Lead interactive group sessions and spiritual development classes
  • Monitor and evaluate beneficiary progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Update Self-Sufficiency Matrix as goals are achieved
  • Maintain detailed real-time case notes in ServicePoint database
  • Monitor work therapy progress and challenges according to center policies
  • Develop and implement special projects and programs as assigned
  • Provide statistical information for monthly reports
  • Assess spiritual needs and make referrals to Administrator(s) as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills


What You'll Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications

  • Strong personal faith and testimony of God's faithfulness
  • Counseling experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to guide others in their spiritual journey
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in ServicePoint database and basic computer skills
  • Strong documentation and case management abilities
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from beneficiaries, agencies, or community
  • Problem-solving abilities in diverse situations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Ability to provide Bible-based guidance and support
  • Understanding of spiritual formation and recovery principles
  • Heart for serving individuals affected by addiction and homelessness
