Job Summary:
|
The Marist Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) is a dropout prevention and college access program for underrepresented school students in grades 5-12 in the Poughkeepsie School District. The Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely pick up and drop off of Marist College students to and from campus to the Poughkeepsie Middle School and Poughkeepsie High School for the Marist LPP After-School Programs. The Van Driver will be operating a 12-passenger van leased and maintained by Marist College. It is the responsibility of the driver to guarantee that the van is clean and in proper working condition at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
|
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid United States driver's license with no serious convictions.
- 1 - 3 years experience driving a motor vehicle.

Essential Functions:
|
- Provide transportation for Marist College students to and from Marist College to the Marist LPP After-School Programs:
- Operate the vehicle in such a manner that road and safety regulations are always followed
- Ensure all passengers are seated properly and strictly follow the passenger limits.
- Immediately report traffic violations and/or accidents.
- Assist staff with supervising students during the Marist LPP After-School Programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
One (1) year of group transportation driving experience strongly desired; municipal or school bus, group van transport or limousine service.
