The University of Minnesota Department of Microbiology and Immunology and Institute on Infectious Diseases (UMIID) announce an inaugural round of recruitments in Bacteriology. We seek candidates for a position at tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor rank whose research is broadly relevant to UMIID's Program Antimicrobial Resistance and Drug Discovery to include bacterial physiology and genomics, systems biology, human microbial ecology, bacteriophages, and bacterial-host interactions. Successful candidates will demonstrate potential to develop a prominent and innovative research program that complements the University's research strengths in host-pathogen interactions, immunity and host defense, virology, mycology, genomics, drug discovery, translational research, and clinical trials. Minimum qualifications: PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field of study, plus applicable postdoctoral or faculty experience. About the Department
