The College of Liberal Arts is looking for an Academic Advisor to join our team! Undergraduate Education is a dynamic work environment. We work with undergraduate students from orientation through graduation. Our ideal candidate has a passion for the liberal arts and advising. This person will have an inclusive mindset that centers students. Our advisors work holistically with students to identify their strengths, clarify their interests, and explore areas of study while planning for timely degree completion. Advisors provide students with a balance of support and challenge, engaging in a professional practice that is highly contextualized and focuses on the individual learner's preparation, ability, and interests. Our advisors emphasize multicultural responsiveness in all aspects of their work, in line with the broader university and college goals of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. *We are currently hiring advisors in any of the three levels (9702AA, 9703AA, 9704AA) depending on your qualifications. Primary duties: Academic Advising (Level 2: 85% | Level 3: 75% | Level 4: 75%)
Participation in Programs and Initiatives (Level 2: 5% | Level 3: 15% | Level 4: 10%)
Service and Engagement in the field of Academic Advising (Level 2: 10% | Level 3: 10% | Level 4: 15%)
