The MA Educator role will provide guidance and oversight to our MA Apprentice programs. They will be a conduit between our community college partners providing guidance and education, schedule regular check-ins with both the Apprentice and the school and partner with workforce development program to assist with resources. The MA educator will partner with the Clinical Resource department and help to facilitate orientation and educational opportunities.

Position Summary:

The MA Clinical Staff Educator position assists in the coordination of Maine Medical Partners staff education and professional development needs. This role works closely with MMP clinical staff and management team to demonstrate best practice and achieve evidenced-based patient outcomes. Providing continuous support to the managers and staff in the area of clinical practice, professional development, and patient satisfaction is essential.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited program with an Associate's degree.
  2. License/Certifications: RMC, CMA, CCMA. Current BLS certification.
  3. Experience: Medical Assistant with five years' experience in a multi-physician practice.
  4. Understand current literature and assist with failure mode and effects analysis as well as root cause analysis in improving practice and patient care systems.
  5. Ability to deliver education via many routes to effectively assist staff in understanding and comprehension.
  6. Effective project management and time management skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  8. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of administration and health care team.
  9. Ability to facilitate teams with effective group presentation skills.
  10. Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environments. Proficient computer skills.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
