The University of Virginia Athletics Department is hiring a postdoctoral fellow for the 2025 to 2026 school year. The fellowship is a full-time, 12-month position beginning August 1, 2025, and ending July 31, 2026, with an earlier 12-month start and end date being negotiable. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for providing mental health and performance services to D-I varsity student-athletes and will have the opportunity to conduct individual counseling and sports performance work, team meetings, consultation with staff, crisis management, and participation in coordination of care with multidisciplinary treatment team members. Additional opportunities for specialized training in disordered eating behavior, eating disorders, body image concerns, and management of and return to competition issues in cases of concussions and other injuries will be available based on postdoctoral fellow's previous experience and interest areas.
