Store Assistant Manager

Join our leadership team as a Store Assistant Manager where you'll support the Store Manager in operating a successful thrift store that serves our community. This role combines retail management, team leadership, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs.

Pay Rate: $17/Hour (Full-Time Position)

• Support staff training and supervision of store personnel
• Implement strategies to meet production and sales goals
• Maintain store appearance and safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Execute customer development and retention initiatives
• Assist with banking, recordkeeping, and reporting procedures
• Manage store operations within budget parameters
• Support The Salvation Army's mission and enhance its community image
• Ensure compliance with all Salvation Army policies and procedures

• Train and supervise store staff
• Assist in personnel reviews and corrective actions
• Manage time and attendance using current payroll system
• Monitor staff scheduling and time logs

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate's Degree a plus)
• 2 years of retail experience (thrift store experience preferred)
• Valid Driver's License
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency in retail management systems
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early shifts, late shifts, and weekends

• Ability to move throughout the store and warehouse areas
• Capability to assist with merchandise handling
• Standing and walking for extended periods
