Well-Being Coordinator

Creighton University is seeking a dedicated and passionate Well-Being Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of holistic wellness initiatives for faculty and staff. The Well-Being Coordinator will collaborate with campus partners to create a culture of Well-Being that supports the diverse needs of the Creighton community.

  • Program Development and Management:

    • Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive wellness programs and initiatives aligned with the mission and values of Creighton University.
    • Coordinate a variety of activities, workshops, and events focused on physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
    • Collaborate with campus departments, and external stakeholders to promote a holistic approach to wellness.


  • Outreach and Education:

    • Develop marketing strategies to increase awareness and participation in wellness programs and services.
    • Deliver educational presentations and workshops on topics such as stress management, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and mindfulness.
    • Utilize digital platforms and social media to engage and disseminate wellness resources.


  • Training and Development:

    • Offer training sessions for university staff and faculty on how to support well-being and create a healthy campus environment.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to wellness ambassadors and volunteers.
    • Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in wellness promotion and incorporate evidence-based strategies into programming.


  • Data Collection and Assessment:

    • Collect, analyze, and report on data related to program participation, satisfaction, and outcomes.
    • Use assessment findings to continuously improve wellness initiatives and demonstrate the impact of programming to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with university partners to conduct research on wellness-related topics and contribute to scholarly publications.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health promotion, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience developing, implementing, and evaluating well-being programs in a university or similar setting. Educational experience may be considered in lieu of previous work experience.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Knowledge of wellness promotion theories, behavior change strategies, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong partnerships across campus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equity in wellness programming.
