The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

This job is for a full-time Research Assistant position who will be responsible for the coordination and execution of behavioral and neuroimaging studies in humans as well as clinical trials with or without psychiatric conditions. The incumbent will not have supervision responsibilities. They will work under the direct supervision of PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and principal investigators.

Responsibilities

The duties include interfacing with study participants, observing medication dosing and completing related assessments, phlebotomy computer programming for behavioral task design and implementations, and collecting and managing MRI/behavioral data in adherence to regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Administration of neuropsychological tests, symptom rating scales, observing medication administration, and phlebotomy - 20 %
  • Coordination and collection of MRI, behavioral, and eye tracking data - 20%
  • Data entry and analysis - 20 %
  • Subject recruitment, consent and participant reimbursement - 10%
  • Scheduling of patient interviews and study assessments - 10%
  • Programming of analytic scripts and functions using UNIX and MATLAB - 10%
  • Other duties assigned by the PI including but not limited to maintaining the IRB protocol and regulatory compliance documentation - 10%
  • Perform general administrative functions, and related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Excellent programming and data analysis skills with experience in python, Matlab, R, Javascript, and/or shell.
  • Experience with REDCap, including building scientific projects, developing data dictionaries, implementing branching logic, creating reports, and managing projects.
  • An understanding of areas of active research in schizophrenia and substance use disorders.
  • A firm grasp of statistical methods in psychology or biology.
  • High degree of self-organization and independent work.
  • Team spirit, reliability, and sense of responsibility.
