Assistant Director, ERP Delivery Services

The Opportunity:

UCF IT is seeking an ERP Delivery Services, Assistant Director responsible for the release management, resource planning, metrics reporting, work management, test coordination, governance and prioritization of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Directs teams responsible for managing the adoption of new features, maintenance of multiple work management systems, and overall systems governance. Leads development, implementation, upgrades, testing, conversion and on-going support of the tasks, workflow, and work management systems. Coordinates project planning and work scheduling. Leads maintenance, operation, and upgrades for ERP and ancillary technology. Coordinates monitoring, issue reporting, outage communications, and metrics reporting among multiple teams. Collaborates with business owners to ensure ERP systems roadmap planning and backlog priorities align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:


  • Direct teams of Applications Systems Analysts, System Administrators, Student Apprentices, and Support Specialists to support delivery of ERP system services, functionality release management, system change management, work management system administration, and ERP and ancillary systems governance.

  • Develop and maintain resource and capacity plans for multiple technical and administrative teams. Provide leadership and guidance related to system functions, upgrades, work assignments, and governance processes.

  • Monitor performance and team service delivery to meet business priorities and service level agreements. Report operational metrics, human resource utilization and capacity, team performance, and system utilization and performance monthly.

  • Manage relationships with departments across campus to ensure information from change management, release management and governance is communicated, and that subject matter experts (SMEs) are engaged. Lead ERP systems governance meetings and processes that deliver a report out priorities and associated data to leadership.

  • Manage overall system documentation, project and sprint planning, and user community memberships. Advocate for UCF product needs in community and corporate product management groups. Maintain understanding of new technologies and future product roadmaps to support strategic planning efforts.

  • Plan and execute team activities designed to improve team culture and employee engagement. Participate in and encourage staff participation in overall IT department or division activities, award ceremonies, and other activities planned by IT executive team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience including 1 years of leadership experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree including 1 years of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Preferred Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience with release management and governance processes for information technology in higher education.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, ITSM, and other information technology services.

  • At least 3-5 years of experience leading and managing people.

  • Experience managing agile project teams.

  • Experience coaching students or interns.

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate decision making among executive stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).

This is not a remote position. Up to 1-3 hybrid workdays per week may be available after a probationary period, depending on job duties, project work, and supervisor approval.
