A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Jason R. Becker at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. The primary focus of the laboratory is the identification of novel molecular pathways regulating genetic and acquired forms of cardiomyopathy and heart failure. The laboratory utilizes multiple different experimental model systems, including transgenic mice, human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, and human tissue analysis. Qualifications: A PhD and/or MD with experience in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, and/or pharmacology. Ideal candidates will be motivated, collaborative, and interested in solving problems and developing new experimental methods.
