Innovation Funding Manager The Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE) is seeking a qualified Innovation Funding Manager. The Innovation Funding Manager supports the Director to implement and grow program initiatives to meet OIE organizational goals. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
An advanced degree is preferred. Technical knowledge is a plus. The office is composed of four units: The Innovation Institute, the Office of Industry and Economic Partnerships, the Big Idea Center for student innovation, and the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Job Summary Provides program and administrative management for the Pitt-UPMC commercialization partnership and the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship's (OIE) internal innovation funding programs. Plays a critical role in relationship management with investigators, UPMC commercialization operations team, and many other internal and external partners. Manages program timelines, tracks project progress, builds and maintains internal and external relationships, creates and implements workflows and best practices, and ensures open communication between program stakeholders. Essential Functions Computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organization and time management skills are essential to this role. Physical Effort Little physical effort is required; position is mostly sedentary. May be required to travel on campus to meetings.
