Job Summary

As a nurse manager, you will work with outstanding staff in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to establish meaningful relationships and open communication across management and your teams is essential. Reporting to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, you assume 24-hour responsibility for the delivery of professional nursing care on Emerson Hospital's Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit: North 6, including quality, regulatory compliance, and cost effectiveness of care delivery. As nurse manager, you will ensure appropriate resources for staffing and skill mix, and sufficient equipment and supplies to meet patient's needs

North 6 is a 30 bed unit which delivers exceptional care to adults in need of specialized stroke, cardiac, and respiratory care as well as Sepsis and all other general medical diagnosis.

Schedule Flexibility

Candidates have opportunities to work four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, dependent upon preference and unit needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or matriculation into a BSN program is required

* Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience

* Leadership experience preferred.

* Minimum of two years of inpatient nursing required.

Licensure and/or Certification

* Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.

* Certification in clinical specialty preferred.

* BLS healthcare provider required.

Skills

* Demonstrated leadership ability, financial management, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

* Computer skills required.

* Ability to maintain confidential information
