Position Summary
This position will assist in the completion of Request for Services including event set up, moving heavy furniture and equipment, and delivery of large materials from central receiving. This position will be responsible for assisting in grounds maintenance including mowing, weed eating, cleaning walkways, mulching, planting, and pruning as well as the collection of trash and recycling.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
A valid driver's license is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in moving heavy furniture and equipment. Working knowledge and ability to safely move heavy furnishings and equipment is desired. Prefer knowledge and experience in grounds maintenance. Ability to work under the pressure of time and ability to be flexible in doing various types of work is ideal.
Work Schedule and Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Due to the nature of position and departmental needs there will be regularly scheduled work hours on weekends, scheduled in advance. There may be changes in weekly and weekend schedule as needed. All Campus Operations staff are designated as University Critical Personnel in accordance with UNC Asheville policy.
